Washington Solons Bash Coal

Insiders wonder if impact will spread.

Washington state legislators are proposing legislation to make it easier for utilities in the state to abandon their reliance on coal-fired generation.

The proposals would benefit three utilities - if they would work to shut down a coal-fired unit in east Montana, according to a recent news report.
