Welcome to your third edition of our weekly, The Energy Times.
We are happy this morning to welcome 50,000 new readers to our community. We would like our new readers to know that we are committed to be the voice of the new energy customer and the new utility and energy marketplace.
Our readers now include a rich diversity of facilities managers eager to learn about the new technologies and policies that enable them to power their campuses, stores, restaurants, factories and office buildings more cheaply and reliably. At the same time, they want to responsibly address climate change - as a growing number of their customers, shareholders and employees demand.
Our readers include utility executives and managers who are reinventing century-old business models to identify and deliver the services their customers want. New energy companies are also part of our community.
Energy regulators and policymakers are in the mix. So are equipment manufacturers, service providers and consultants.
Next Thursday, representatives of our diverse, robust new community will gather for an Executive Energy briefing in Washington that will expand our dialog about energy efficiency and its impact on the utility and energy customer of tomorrow. We hope to see some of you there. For those of you who cannot make it, rest assured we will be report on the briefing in this space, in a July webcast and via a variety of exciting new social media channels.
